Clothing Sale, Village Board Meeting and Cemetery Walk This Week

What are your plans for the week?

Are you looking for something to do this week?

Maybe you want to stop by the Prairie Crossing Charter School Clothing Sale & Textile Drive to peruse the items that have been donated. Or perhaps you'd like to learn about some of the people who are buried in the Grayslake Cemetery at the annual Cemetery Walk.

Here's a look at some events coming up this week:

Village Board Meeting

The Grayslake Village Board will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 1. Items on the agenda include the execution of a commercial waste hauling and recycling agreement, and consideration of an ordinance that would establish a six-month moratorium applying to massage licenses.

Clothing Sale

Prairie Crossing Charter School will hold a Clothing Sale & Textile Drive Oct 3-5 in the school gymnasium, 1531 Jones Point Road, Grayslake. The school collected new and gently-used clothes for men, women and children, along with bedding, linens, shoes, and boots. The sale will be held from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 3, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 4 and 5. The sale will serve as a fundraiser.

Cemetery Walk

The Grayslake Historical Society will host its popular Cemetery Walk at the Grayslake Cemetery on Lake Street Oct. 6. Nine costumed actors and actresses will recall the lives of some of the people buried in the cemetery. Performances will be held at 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. There is no admission charge, but donations will be appreciated.
