Color Aloft Festival, Cruisin' for the Kids this Weekend

There's lots going on in and around Grayslake, from the Color Aloft hot air balloon festival to Libertyville's North Shore Wine, Beer, Cigar and Food Festival to benefit the Brainerd Foundation.

Color Aloft! 

Grayslake's first Color Aloft balloon festival is slated for 5:30 to 9 p.m. Aug. 24 in Central Park. The free event will feature hot air balloons, music, food and more. Visit the Grayslake Chamber of Commerce website for more information.

Spirits and Cigars

The annual North Shore Wine, Beer, Cigar and Food Festivalwill be held Aug. 24 on the field at the Brainerd Building in Libertyville. The event will feature fine wines, craft beers, cigars, food and live music. Local homebrewers will compete in the Besley's Homebrew competition, and the cash raffle will feature prizes totaling $30,000. The event will be held from 4-9 p.m. Tickets are $50 for admission and raffle in advance, $30 for admission in advance, $40 admission at the gate, $10 for designated drivers, $25 for a raffle ticket and $100 for a five raffle ticket special. Cruisin' for the Kids

The sixth annual Cruisin' for the Kids Car Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 25 on Center Street in downtown Grayslake. The event will feature more than 100 vintage and new cars, live music and food. Cruisin' for the Kids will benefit the Oasis youth center.
