Downtown Rib Throwdown, Home Run for Education this Weekend

Need to Remodel Your Home? 

The Lake County Fairgrounds will host the Lake County Home Improvement & Remodeling Expo Sept. 14-15. Admission and parking are both free for the event, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 14 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 15. Read more about this event here.

Corn Maze? Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

The Richardson Corn Maze in Spring Grove has a Beatles theme this year. The 28-acre corn maze is etched with the images of Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr along with guitars, drums and an LP record and musical score. Read more about the maze here.

Home Run for Education

Foundation 46 will hold its second annual Home Run for Education benefit event. Tournament games between 10 teams will take place in Central Park and on the Aquatic Park Softball Field starting at 9 a.m. Sept. 14. The police versus fire game will start at 3 p.m., with the championship game following at 5 p.m. Read more about the event here.

Downtown Rib Throwdown

Want to enjoy some live music, food, beverages and beer? Stop by the Downtown Rib Throwdown. Ribs will go on sale starting at 11 a.m. Sept. 15 for just $1 per rib. Teams will start cooking at 5 a.m. The event will be located on Center Street in downtown Grayslake. Read more about the event here.
