Fall Frolic and 'The Wizard of Oz' in 3D

What are your plans for the weekend?

Are you looking for something to do this weekend?

Maybe you'd like to get in a little exercise and participate in the Grayslake Running Club's Fall Frolic? Or perhaps you'd like to take the kids to check out "The Wizard of Oz" in 3D.

Whatever you decide to do, have a great weekend!

We're off to see 'The Wizard of Oz' in 3D

If you love "The Wizard of Oz" as much as I do, you'll probably want to see the movie in IMAX 3D when it opens Sept. 20. It's only showing for a week, so be sure to check it out. You can find local movie showtimes here. And check out what Moviefone had to say about the movie being released in 3D.

Fall Frolic

The Grayslake Running Club will hold its first Fall Frolic Sept. 22. The event will begin with a Kids Dash at 8:30 a.m., followed by a 5K run at 9 a.m. The 5K walk will begin at 9:05 a.m. You can register on-site from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. Sept. 22. Same-day registration is $35 for the run/walk and $15 for the Kids Dash. Find more event details here.

Corn Maze? Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

The Richardson Corn Maze in Spring Grove has a Beatles theme this year. The 28-acre corn maze is etched with the images of Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr along with guitars, drums and an LP record and musical score. Read more about the maze here.
