Libertyville trustees voted unanimously Tuesday night to approve an intergovernmental agreement with the village of Grayslake to share Libertyville's Administrative Adjudication Hearings program. Joining forces to share Libertyville's program, which covers local parking and ordinance violations, will provide a cost savings for both villages. "It benefits both villages because they don't have to reinvent the wheel, and it helps share the cost of the expense that we already incur by them reimbursing us for about half of the cost," said Police Chief Clint Herdegen. The villages of Grayslake and Libertyville will soon share an adjudication program. Grayslake trustees voted unanimously Tuesday night to authorize the administrative hearing system and operate the system in conjunction with another municipality. Trustees also voted unanimously to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with Libertyville to utilize the latter's adjudication system. The Grayslake Village Board is expected to vote at its next meeting on whether to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the Village of Libertyville to utilize the latter village's adjudication system. Grayslake's committee-of-the-whole voted unanimously Tuesday night to send the matter on to the village board for approval. Brad, Why are you always in the "give back" group camp? You never have any new or positive ideas. If you want to pay less move to another village or unincorporated community. I never said my tax rate was too high, so don't put words in my mouth or tell me what I'm talking about.
