Youth Job Fair to be held at College of Lake County

Are you age 15 to 21 and looking for a job? Plan to attend 'Jobapalooza' at Grayslake's College of Lake County on March 7. In addition, the Lake County Board's Summer Youth Employment Program is accepting applications through Feb. 28.

Don't let the wintery scenes outside fool you. It's already time to start planning for summer jobs. Employers are gearing up for seasonal work, and young job seekers are wise to begin their job search early. The Lake County Job Center offers a number of resources and programs to help youths navigate the process. The Lake County Board's Summer Youth Employment Program offers youths age 14 to 18 (or 14 to 22 with an Individualized Education Plan) the opportunity for a paid, part-time work experience over the summer. Youths are matched with local public or non-profit worksites and gain valuable experience while earning a pay check.
