A food drive will be held at the Grayslake Fall Farmers Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10. The market is seeking donations of canned goods and non-perishable food items for local pantries. Donation boxes will be set up at the market near the Friends table. Please bring a bag if you can! All items collected will be delivered to the pantry during the week of November 12--just in time for Thanksgiving boxes and baskets. Tis the season to share your blessings. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who are most in need in our community. Fall is in the air in the suburbs. The pumpkin patches are open, the hot cider is steaming and haunted houses are popping up throughout the area. Patch editors put together a collaborative map to show you all the best places to celebrate fall throughout the Chicago suburbs. Did we miss your favorite spot? A new season, a new market. The Grayslake Fall Farmers Market opens tomorrow in Centennial Park, in downtown Grayslake.
Find a variety of fall treats at the Grayslake Fall Farmers Market, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays Oct. 13 through Dec. 22 in Centennial Park on downtown Center Street. "It's going to be our largest fall market to date," said Market Manager Julie Jason. "We have new vendors contacting us weekly to be part of the market because we have proven to be a viable farmers market in the area." Grayslake Farmers Market, which has held spring/summer markets since 1993. The fall market gives area residents even more to look forward to. The fall market will feature 19 vendors.
