Grayslake Central, North Swimmers Qualify for State Meet
Congrats to the GCHS and GNHS swim teams!
Both Grayslake Central and Grayslake North competed in the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Boys Swimming Sectionals at Vernon Hills High School this weekend, with a number of swimmers advancing to the state meet. Six Grayslake area swimmers qualified for the IHSA Sectionals event representing Grayslake North and Central High Schools. Two of them, Brendan Bolman and Kirk Dickson, each finished with two qualifying times to compete at IHSA State. “I jumped out ahead and in the last 25 yards, the crowd noise gave me an extra pulse to out-touch everyone else,” said Brendan Bolman, who took 1st place in the 100 freestyle.
