Meet the Candidates for Avon Township

Nineteen people are seeking eight seats in Avon Township in the April 9 election. Read their profiles below.

Voters will select eight individuals for various Avon Township posts from a pool of 19 candidates in the April 9 election. The terms of all township officials expire in 2013, including the supervisor, assessor, clerk, highway commissioner, and four trustees. Two parties and one independent slate have filed to run for Avon Township elected positions. Grayslake Patch sent candidate questionnaires to all 19 contenders. Grayslake Chamber Lunch to Feature Avon Twp. Supervisor Candidate Forum

Thursday's Grayslake Chamber of Commerce luncheon will feature candidates vying for Avon Township Supervisor in the April 9 consolidated election.

Candidates running for Avon Township Supervisor will share their platforms and participate in an audience Q&A session at the Grayslake Chamber of Commerce's networking luncheon on Thursday, Feb. 28 at State Bank of the Lakes, 50 Commerce Dr. Cost is $15 with registration by Feb. 26 or $25 at the door.
