A championship U-15 Experienced Lacrosse match between Grayslake and Lake Villa was held Sunday at the Libertyville Sports Complex. Grayslake defeated Lake Villa 16 to 14.

Grayslake photographer Todd Landry shares photos with Patch of the championship U-15 Experienced Lacrosse match between Grayslake and Lake Villa at the Libertyville Sports Complex Sunday. "These are pre-high school (8th grade) players, many of which will attend Grayslake High School next year and could bring new talent to the high school lacrosse teams," said Landry. Team Illinois U13 Gold won the U13B championship at the recent Cherry Bomb Lacrosse tournament in Traverse City, Michigan. The team is part of Lacrosse America, a travel Lacrosse organization made up of area players. U13 Gold went 4-0 in pool play, and then defeated Louisville 5-3 in the quarterfinals, Ann Arbor 5-4 in the semifinals, and Forest Hills 10-7 in the championship. The team was coached by Brian Cummings and assistant coach Joe Kent. Local players included Matthew Feldman and Shane Stanley of Grayslake, Joey Kreis of Wauconda, Thom Siegel of Lake Bluff, Casey Larson of Barrington, and Kyle Wagoner of Lake Zurich. -Submitted by Lacrosse America Team Illinois
