Map Just About Anything in Grayslake

Lake County has a cool new interactive mapping tool that allows you to easily look up and view maps of a community's boundaries, attractions, election precincts, park districts and much more.

Lake County has transformed its Online Mapping Application increasing transparency and providing users with easy access to maps, tax and property information, and other interactive features.  Grayslake residents can easily view township boundaries, conservation features, school boundaries, library districts, special service areas, congressional districts and more. Anyone seeking to conduct business, or buy property in Lake County can analyze environmental features, assessment characteristics, transportation availability, or proximity to other services. Historic Maps Detail Grayslake's History

From the time when land sold for $1.25 an acre, see the changes in Grayslake history through a dozen historic maps at the Grayslake Heritage Center and Museum.

More than 175 years of Grayslake area history through maps are displayed in a new exhibit in the upper gallery of the Grayslake Heritage Center and Museum, 164 Hawley St., Grayslake. The maps, mostly from the collection of the Grayslake Historical Society, trace the history of Lake County, Avon Township and the village of Grayslake from the frontier to the present. A dozen historical maps show how the development of roads, railroads and surveyors' tracts were used to form the communities in the Grayslake area.
