Patch Profile: Rhett Taylor
Grayslake Mayor Rhett Taylor met with residents to discuss the village, future developments and answer questions at a recent “Coffee with the Mayor” event held at the Grayslake Heritage Center. He plans to host similar events in 2011.
What are the rewarding aspects of your job as an elected official? Grayslake is a great town, with so many committed volunteers working to benefit their friends, family members and neighbors. I enjoy being part of this by serving the community on the village board. The opportunity to participate in projects that directly benefit people is incredibly rewarding. A few examples include bringing jobs in through the expansion of Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital and the FedEx Ground development. Additionally, the expansion of Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital has also directly benefited the health and safety of the community. What are some of the challenges?
