Thank You Grayslake!

It's been a wonderful first four months serving as your local editor. I can't wait to see what's ahead in the new year!

As 2012 is coming to a close, today marks my four-month anniversary as your Grayslake Patch local editor. It's a relatively short time, but it feels as though I've been here much longer. That's because I enjoy this job so much, and I hope you, the readers, have enjoyed what you've seen and read on the Grayslake Patch this year. My goal is to provide you with coverage that is interesting, informative and relevant to your lives as Grayslake residents. I can't say I wasn't kept busy. We've had a lot to talk about in my first four months, from the home invasion and the 2012 elections to the business closings and the looming teacher strike in District 46. A Look Back to 2010, a Look Ahead to 2011

As we looking forward to a new year, let's take a moment to look back at the beginnings of our relationship.

As we weclome in the new year, we at Grayslake Patch are very excited about what the future holds. As the editor, I want to thank you, the readers, for finding us and signing up for daily newsletters, for submitting photos and comments, and for truly joining in the conversation that is local news, done the Patch way. Recently, Patch.com has been making news of its own. We as a company succeeded in launching well over our goal of 500 sites across the country, and we are still counting. The CBS Evening News recently ran a story about Patch.com. So did the Los Angeles Times and the Chicago Reader.  But here at Grayslake Patch, our focus is on Grayslake. So let's talk about us.
