Best Friends Animal Hospital, Neighbor

We are a full service primary care veterinary practice committed to excellence in small animal medicine.We have been serving Lake County and the surrounding areas since 1997. 

The Hospital also manages a chairitable organization The Good Samaritan Animal Relief Fund. It is a registered 501(c)3 not-for-profit charity dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of animals in need. Best Friends Animal Hospital established this program to meet the needs of injured or sick domestic pets that do not have an owner, as well as injured wildlife brought to our hospital.  The program is supported solely by donations and managed by Best Friends Animal Hospital and volunteers from our staff.

The Good Samaritan Animal Relief Fund receives NO state or federal funding. We are not a public animal shelter or adoption facility, and our cage space and resources are limited.

The public, local law enforcement, Lake County Animal Control, the Conservation Police and other area animal hospitals all refer wildlife cases or homeless pets to our Good Samaritan program. We do not charge organizations or members of the community who bring in animals eligible for treatment under the Good Samaratan program.  We rely solely on donations of supplies and funds to continue caring for these animals.
