On the article Goshe Steps Down As GCHS Head Fooball Coach

ReplySad to see Coach Goshe leave a program that he worked so hard to build up. Very successful coach and a great leader. He will be greatly missed and I hope he lands on his feet in his next opportunity. He has surrounded himself with excellent people who will carry on the tradition of winning that Goshe re-established over the past two years. I have always found him to be a class act and really respect him as a coach and a person. I'm sure it was a difficult decision for him to make, but I wish him the best.

ReplyHey Chad! Great job on the coverage. You did an awesome job and can't wait to hear how the Central and North State Qualifiers do down state this weekend. Really, really appreciate you taking the time to get this into the Patch. Both Coach Cat & Stewart of Central and Coach West & Zimmerman of North have done an outstanding job this season. Your work with the Grayslake Youth Wrestling Club will soon prove to be invaluable in building Grayslake into a wrestling powerhouse! Kudos!

ReplyThanks HM for the compliments. I couldn't agree with you more about the how much this team of young men and the coaching staff have made our community proud and given us something to cheer about that has been absent for quite some time. I also want to give a shout out to North for a great season. I look forward to next season as both teams battle for respect and dominance in the Fox Valley Conference Fox Division.

ReplyWay to go Knights! This team smells playoff paydirt and is hungry for a shot at making school history. Kudos to Coach Woods and his staff for an outstanding job so far this season. Both Central and North are building successful programs one game at a time. Best of luck in your game next week against Crystal Lake Central. Hope your fans pack the stands to cheer on the Knights! The Battle for Grayslake in two weeks could decide who is going to win the Fox Division of the Conference and that will be absolutely awesome for this great community!

ReplyTo all of our Rams Fans - Thank you for posting your responses to the article. I can't tell you how good it feels to see the community get involved and support the hometown team. All credit to Goshe and his staff for making this happen and to Tom Kim the AD and a very supportive administration, a marvelous parent group, and simply amazing booster club. The kids of our community who attend all of the schools in Grayslake are the future and our shining hope for a brighter future in these days that try men's and women's souls. The doers of this world expose themselves to the slings and arrows of the do nothings who sit back and criticize. But at least the doers act and strive for success. The coaches and athletes at Central and North are doers who actively engage in the attempt to accomplish something positive and often times have to contend with the gravitational pull of past failures and disappointments. Kudos to the Rams, the Knights and all of our kids who fight the good fight and their coaches who teach them about life through sports and the right way to do things both big and small. And I'm a believer yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeaaaaaaaaahhhh!

ReplyThanks for the kind words, Scott. Coach Eiserman is a community treasure and a big part of our school's history. He is a true gentleman and I know this meant a great deal to him. Great job with the media guide. Coach Goshe has built a winning football program that is spilling over to all of Central's sports team and into the entire school and community. Eiserman and Goshe are just two of the people who make our town a great place to raise a family.

I should also point out that Ron "the Junkman" Garbett threw a scoreless inning and that no one really got a good rip at any of his pitches that danced like a fresh worm on a hook. The Junkman's pitches moved so much I heard that Long Ball Comerford was getting dizzy behind the plate just trying to glove them!
