Belly Dancing, Chickens and Sweet Corn This Week

Are you looking for something to do in Grayslake this week? You could stop by the ever-popular Farmers Market, or perhaps check out the belly dance workshop at the library. 

Here's a look at what's coming up this week:

Music on the Lawn

The Friends of the Grayslake Library will present a concert on the lawn at 7 p.m. The concert will feature the 3rd Sunday String Band, who will play country, folk and bluegrass music.

Don't be a Chicken … Just Learn About Them

The Prairie Crossing Learning Farm will hold its annual summer camp for children from July 23-26. During the camp, dubbed "Don't Be Chicken to Learn Even MORE About Chickens," children can help care for chickens and collect their eggs. Find Fresh Fruit, Sweet Corn at Farmers Market

The Grayslake Farmers Market will return once again from 3-7 p.m. July 24 on Center Street. Farmers Market officials announced that sweet corn will be available at this week's market. Three vendors—Geneva Lakes Produce, Red Barn and Twin Gardens—are expected to have sweet corn.

Belly Dancing at the Library?

The Grayslake Library will host a belly dance workshop from 7-8:45 p.m. July 25. learn about the history and styles of belly dance, along with basic belly dance techniques. Sign up on the library's website.
