Scouts to Rally Against Texting and Driving at Memorial Day Parade

Grayslake teen William Bauman's Eagle Scout project is a campaign to raise awareness of this serious issue.

After being in a minor fender bender caused by his mom reading a text message, Grayslake Middle School student William Bauman decided to start a community campaign against texting and driving, according to a story featured in the Lake County Journal.

Bauman, who made the campaign his Eagle Scout project, created signs to display outside the Culver's and local schools. Bauman and his fellow scouts will walk with "Don't Text and Drive" signs in Monday's Memorial Day parade in Grayslake, reported the Lake County Journal.
