Police Blotter: Alcohol, Traffic, Vehicle Burglary Arrests

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Grayslake Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Alcohol

Zamane Speciale, 37, of 38824 N. North St., Lake Villa, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol July 4 on the 300 block of East Route 120. Speciale was released on $1,000 bond and his drivers license pending an Aug. 13 court date.

Jose C. Vega, 18, of 1513 Elm Ave., Grayslake, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or combination of drugs July 4 on the 300 block of East Route 120. He was released on $1,000 bond and his drivers license pending an Aug. 13 court date.

Carlos Cadenas-Mata, 49, of 323 Brierhill Drive, Round Lake Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol July 5 near East Route 120 and North Route 45. He was also cited for DUI over .08, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving in the wrong lane. He was released on $3,000 bond pending a July 23 court date.

Michael C. Risher, 23, of 1314 Maple Drive, Round Lake Beach, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol July 8 on the 200 block of Center Street. He was also cited for DUI over .08, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest of a peace officer. He was released on $3,000 bond pending an Aug. 20 court date.

John M. Leonora, 48, of 213 Nina Way, Oldsmar, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol July 9 near South Route 83 and East Route 120. He was also cited for possession of cannabis - less than 2.5 grams, operating an uninsured vehicle, speeding and operating a vehicle with expired registration. He was released on $1,000 bond pending an Aug. 13 court date.

Christopher M. Loeffl, 19, of 943 Dunhill Road, Grayslake, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol July 12 on the 100 block of Prairieview Avenue. He was also cited for DUI over .08, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to give aid or information. He was released on $3,000 bond pending an Aug. 20 court date.

Dustin J. Armstrong, 25, of 4244 Blackstone Ave., Gurnee, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol July 13 near South Route 83 and East Route 120. He was also cited for DUI over .08, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper parking on roadway. He was released on $3,000 bond pending an Aug. 6 court date.

Theft From Motor Vehicle

Paul Stephenson, 52, of 300 Lake St. No. 809, Grayslake, was charged with theft from motor vehicle less than $300 July 15 on the 800 block of East Route 120. He was also cited for burglary from vehicle. He was taken to bond court.

Traffic

Brian P. McCann, 42, of 480 Windridge Drive, Round Lake Park, was charged with driving with a suspended/revoked drivers license July 3 near East Route 120 and East Misty Hill Lane. He was also cited or operating an uninsured motor vehicle and registration suspended for no insurance. He was released on $3,000 bond pending a July 17 court date.

Adam J. Smith, 21, of 619 N. Elmwood, Waukegan, was charged with driving with a suspended/revoked drivers license July 4 on the 300 block of East Route 120. He was released on $1,200 bond pending an Aug. 21 court date.

Lucero L. Gutierrez-Carlin, 21, of 2619 Elm Ave., Zion, was charged with driving with a suspended/revoked drivers license July 5 near North Route 45 and East Route 120. He was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released on $2,000 bond pending an Aug. 21 court date.
