Five Football Questions With: Jacob Vargo

Editor's note: In honor of the start of the Grayslake Central High School football season, I stopped by a recent varsity football practice to interview some players who volunteered. Name: Jacob Vargo

Position: Safety and wide receiver

1. What's great about the team this year? We have great chemistry. I feel like this year, we're close together. We're family. 

2. Who will be your biggest opponents this year? Grayslake North and Crystal Lake Central. (Crystal Lake) has been the big team in the conference and fortunately for us, they land on our homecoming. 

3. What do you love about playing football? It's a fun time being out here with people. It's fun hitting people. At school, we all wear our game jerseys (on Fridays). It's a great time. The teachers get ready for it and talk about all of the games.

4. Who is your favorite player in the NFL? Charles Woodson. He was on the Packers. I love the Packers. And he's a defensive back. I try to look up to him.

5. What do you do when you're not playing football? Hang out with my football brothers and study for school.
