Knights Improve to 5-0 with Homecoming Win Against Hampshire

GNHS continued its unbeaten streak this season by defeating Hampshire 42-14.

The Grayslake North Knights powerhouse offense was on display Friday night in their homecoming game against Hampshire. Five different Knights crossed the goal line during the lopsided win.

Titus Booker had two touchdown runs. George Deligiannis and QB Merrick Gentile also crossed the goal line on impressive runs.

Gentile had another strong showing, passing for two touchdowns, one to Andrew Martineau and one to Brad Baker.

The Grayslake North defense held the Hampshire offense to 0 points until the game was all but over. Three turnovers helped the Whip-purs finally get on the scoreboard.

Notable plays during the game included interceptions by Mike McGrath and Spencer Davis, and Brandon Garver recovering a fumble on a Whip-purs kickoff.

The Knights improve to 5-0 after the 42-14 win.
