"One More Strike and History Will be Made"

The Grayslake Central varsity baseball team won the super-sectional game against Nazareth Academy Monday.

Nazareth Academy's Drew Dunker stepped up to the plate.

Grayslake Central pitcher Kevin Peloza threw his first pitch. Strike. Second pitch. Strike.

"One more strike and history will be made," said High School Cube announcer Emil Williams, Jr.

Then came the final pitch—a chopper to short and a throw to first, and the game was over.

"And Grayslake Central's Kevin Peloza has thrown a no-hitter in the super-sectional game, live on High School Cube, at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois!" exclaimed Williams, Jr.

The excited team ended up in a pile near the pitcher's mound at the end of Monday's super-sectional game.

With that, Grayslake Central's varsity baseball team is moving on to the state semifinals. They are set to play against St. Francis High School of Wheaton at 10 a.m. June 7. The game will be played at Silver Cross Field in Joliet.
