Grayslake Central 63, Johnsburg 59

The Rams defeated Johnsburg in overtime 63-59. This was a very exciting game that went back and forth and wasn’t over until the Rams made some key defensive stops to seal the win. Jordan Taylor led the team with 18 points and Casey Boyle had a dozen big rebounds.

The Rams handed Thunder a 50-38 loss at Woodstock North. Taylor was the top scorer with 15 points and Boyle again led the Rams with 9 rebounds.

The visiting Knights were in this game until the final buzzer, but the Rams prevailed with tight defense and clutch free throw shooting. Tyler Smith was too quick for the Knights to handle and led the Rams with 18 huge points, most in the second half. Boyle had a dozen rebounds. Sayvonte McWilliams had 11 points in the first half with a dashing speed that made quicksilver look slow!

Smith had great game against GNHS, leading the team in scoring with 18. McWilliams has continued his steady play at the point guard and added an extra dimension to his game by averaging 11 points over the last three games. Taylor has been consistent with his scoring averaging just over 15 points a game.

"We will continue to work on consistency in our game in all areas (especially offense, defense and rebounding)," said Head Coach Brian Moe. "We are also looking to add more depth to our team with some players needing to step up and provide some consistent play off of the bench."
