The Village of Grayslake shared on its website that due to the Thanksgiving holiday, all garbage and recycling collection, along with leaf vacuuming, will be delayed by one day starting Nov. 28. Thursday's service will take place on Friday, while Friday's service will take place on Saturday.

"Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving Feast"

The Grayslake Park District will host a "Thanksgiving Dinner, Charlie Brown style," according to its website. The event, which is slated for 6-7:30 p.m. Nov. 26, will include a showing of the movie, "Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving Feast." Food from Charlie Brown's menu in the movie will be served, including toast, jelly beans, popcorn and ice cream sundaes. Children will also make a Thanksgiving craft. The cost is $25 for residents and $31 for non-residents. The event will be held at the Recreation Center, 240 Commerce Drive.
